Well... year's almost over and I'm not feeling the christmas spirit, people, I blame college for that. All I've been thinking this past month has been 1) Homework 2) Final assignments 3) Koreans 4) God, I want to sleep.

So. This post is dedicated to none of the above because I want to forget I'll be working my ass off during the holidays, thank you very much.

I bought myself a Nokia 5530 for $2,600 MXN!! One of the few more-than-decent cell phones that are actually "cheap" and I got it for $1,000 LESS! I say SCORE!!!
I'm getting a laptop soon, probably a Studio XPS. God knows I need one ASAP.
Also, I feel like I've abandoned my scrapbook -- but, shockingly, I haven't. I'm surprised it lasted the entire year but now that I look at it... FOUR wallpapers? UGH. FIVE books? LAME. TWO layouts for this blog? LAAAME, even if I sort of made a few more.

I liked the whole "scrapbook" idea, maybe I'll do it again next year.
And I don't know why I've been writing in spanish. I really have no idea. My blogging habits seem to be changing out of nowhere. Let's see what happens.
Resolutions? HEH... there will be an entry for that.

Estoy un poco atrasada con mis reseñas... en parte es por la fac que esta suicida pero también porque he utilizado todo mi tiempo libre en VER dramas y no en ESCRIBIR sobre ellos...

La verdad es que las cosas no han salido como esperaba. Supuestamente tengo una lista de dramas potenciales para ver y el drama de hoy no estaba, fue una decisión completamente improvisada de mi parte porque los links para Take Care of Agassi entraron en coma indefinidamente, vi a Kim Jeong Hoon en el reparto... y aparentemente mi vida ya no es la misma sin los coreanos y sus cursilerías, así que...

마녀유희 (Witch Yoo Hee)

Yoo Hee es una bruja: Amargada, mandona, criticona, agresiva, tiene un pésimo sentido de la moda, no es NADA femenina y, lo peor de todo (tanto para ella como para los que la rodean), es una solterona. Es tan bruja que nadie quiere limpiar su departamento, así que cuando el pobre de Moo Ryon choca con ella, Yoo Hee se aprovecha vilmente de él para que le limpie su casa... y no tarda mucho para que se convierta en su entrenador del amor, encargado de su cambio de look total, novio falso y... ¿algo más? Nah, como creen, Moo Ryon sabe que en realidad es una bruja.

Además tiene novia. Y él es feliz con ella. En serio.

Y Yoo Hee no esta interesada en él. Especialmente cuando se reencuentra con su primer amor, Joon Ha (¡Kim Jeong Hoon!)... y además está su mejor amigo (HOTTEST-chef-extraordinaire-EVER) Johnny Krugger que aparentemente siempre ha estado interesado en ella...

Edah dice...

Empezo muy bien, continuó todavía mejor... y después cayó dramaticamente. No estoy segura de cual fue el problema exactamente pero fue como si el ambiente de la historia cambiara de la nada al grado de volverse completamente ridícula, larga, repetitiva, forzada, se dejaron muchísimas cosas al aire y... simplemente no funcionó.

No hubo amor para Jeong Hooon. Nada. Cero. Non. Su personaje fue... un asco, el más ridículo de todos. Por otro lado, Dennis Oh se robó mi corazón y me dolió que todo lo que tenía que ver con él se haya dejado al aire, pero bueno, prácticamente todo se dejó al aire: lo de Moo Ryon y su novia, Moo Ryon y Yoo Hee... La tipa que hizo de Yoo Hee no me gustó del todo y lo mismo con el de Moo Ryon pero es una de esas cosas mías que no tienen explicación.

Pasando a otras cosas, lo que más me encabr*nó fue que El Beso no fuera un beso. JAMÁS en mi vida habría pensado que la ausencia de un beso me ofendería... ¡PERO ES QUE ESO NO FUE UN BESO! ¡NI SIQUIERA SE ROZARON SUS LABIOS! ¡Y en qué clase de noviazgo sano las partes involucradas pasan MESES sin siquiera abrazarse! ¡ES RIDÍCULO!

Y eso es todo. Véanla si quieren amar el principio pero aburrirse y exasperarse en la segunda mitad. Yo digo que no lo hagan.

Nunca he sido fan del J-pop, simplemente no es lo mío. Eso no quiere decir que no me guste la música japonesa -- la mayoría de lo que me gusta es 1) soundtrack de anime (como Kanno Yoko, no tanto openings/endings) o 2) cosas que no tienen NADA que ver con pop (como Nujabes y Shing02) -- pero casi nunca es J-pop y si me gusta algo, es aislado.

La única excepción es Utada Hikaru porque, pues, ¡es Utada! Su música es sincera, profunda y su voz es completamente surreal, es tan hermosa que me pone la piel de gallina y tiene algo que hace que entiendas sus canciones aunque no sepas qué es lo que está diciendo. Y es natural que cada vez que cante, absolutamente todos en Japón queden en silencio para escucharla. Es así de buena.

Aparentemente esta fue una semana de recordar viejos tiempos y sólo por eso voy a compartir algunos links. Primero, la primera cancion que escuché de ella:

Vi Goong hace dos semanas. Iba a ver The Devil pero ningun link funcionaba y tengo mucha we** y poco espacio libre en mi compu para bajarla... fue una decisión fácil, tenía a EunHye (Coffee Prince) y a JiHun (Antique) y eso fue más que suficiente para mí...

Imaginemos por unos momentos que hay una monarquía constitucional en Corea del Sur: El rey está gravemente enfermo, por lo que el príncipe está pronto a tomar el trono.

Para lidiar con la baja popularidad de la familia real, ellos deciden cumplir una promesa del difunto rey de casar al príncipe heredero al trono con la nieta de su mejor amigo... y ella resulta ser Chae-kyung, una niña linda, algo ridícula y terca. Pero el príncipe, Lee Shin, está enamorado de Hyo-rin, una amiga cercana con la que ha estado saliendo en secreto, que le corresponde pero no quiere estar encerrada en un castillo. Chae-kyung y Shin deciden casarse pero no sienten nada el uno por el otro... Y para colmo, Lee Yul, el primo del príncipe y el anterior heredero al trono, regresa de Inglaterra repentinamente...

Es demasiado novelesca. Demasiado melodramática. Los últimos 10 capítulos me hicieron odiar a todos -- hasta a la abuelita que no hace nada más que reír y ser tierna. ¡Estuve a punto de quitarme los ojos con un tenedor! Pero no está mal. JiHun no brilló mucho, su personaje era muy aburrido. EunHye estuvo bien, pero nada extraordinario -- pero se veía muy linda, ¡la ropa que usaba! ¡Waaaah!

Lo mejor sin duda alguna fue Kim JeongHoon (el que hace de Yul) -- tiene una cara preciosa... y como esta a punto de llorar en el 97% de la serie se ve completamente A. DO. RA. BLE. Su personaje llega a ser insoportable, pero no pude odiarlo por más de 14 segundos.

Confesión traumática #327: JiHyo (que hace de Hyo-Rin, la novia secreta de Shin) es muy muy MUY linda. El caso es que cada vez que la veía, ¡me recordaba a HeeChul! Sí, HEECHUL HEHEHEHE... ow, estoy mal...

En pocas palabras: hay cosas mejores pero no es mala.

MUAHAHAHAHHAA!! Y pues... mi trauma con los coreanos sigue extendiendose y... esta vez les presento a Big Bang y la única canción de ellos que me gusta: ガラガラGO! (Gara Gara Go = Gotta Gotta Go) que fue creada para obsesionar y controlar a los japoneses...

La razón de mi trauma tiene mucho que ver con que sea pegajosa, los pasos estén xingones (el principio en particular me FASCINA) y que teruupancake lo use de despertador todos los días...

¡El viernes vi la peli coreana de Antique Bakery! Ahora estoy viendo Goong, después veré The Lucifer y Suju's Full House... ver dramas coreanos se esta volviendo parte de mi horario diario... y eso probablemente signifique que voy a estar posteando sobre todo lo que veo, empezando con Antique.

서양골동양과자점 엔티크 (Western Style Bakery Antique)

Veamos... Antique es genial: es divertida, interesante, dramática, tiene coreanos (+ un francés) guapos en papeles interessantes (y graciosos), es hermosa, hay postres deliciosos todo el tiempo -- ¡¿Que más puede pedir uno en una película?!

Cosas que sobresalen:

Jae-wook Kim. En Coffee Prince tenía un papel secundario y estuvo muuuy bien, ¡pero aquí estuvo increíble! Si no hubiera estado Ji-hun, él sería la estrella absoluta e indiscutible, pero como estuvo fue un empate.
Ji-hun Ju. MAIGOWD! Siendo sincera, él es la razón por la que decidí ver Antique. Alguién mostró una escena de The Naked Kitchen en omonatheydidnt y me puse a investigar y todos decían que lo único bueno era él y que en Antique estuvo mucho mejor así que pasó lo inevitable. ME. ENCANTÓ. EL. PERSONAJE. Y un excelente trabajo de su parte.
En verdad todo el reparto principal estuvo perfecto. ¡Ah-in Yu! ¡Ji-ho Choi! ¡LOS AMO!
Pasando a aspectos más técnicos... la película en sí estuvo muy bien armada. Todo se sintió muy acoplado y no hubo nada que pareciera innecesario, y aunque pasan muchas cosas (el manga tiene 4 tomos y la peli abarca prácticamente todo) fluye muy bien.
Me encantó el manejo de los flashbacks, los saltos en el tiempo, los efectos -- ¡los efectos! -- Algo que he visto en los dramas/películas coreanas y que me gusta MUCHO es cómo utilizan las imágenes, los colores, el movimiento... Antique es un muy buen ejemplo de todo eso.

En resumen: me la pasé bien durante toda la película. No he leído el manga así que no puedo comparar pero dudo que esté mejor. Así de buena es.

This obsession with Super Junior has gone too far. I never thought it would be like this.

I've known of them for... what, 3 years? That's about the time when my sisters showed them to me for the first time. I didn't like them. My initial reaction was something like "A BOY BAND WITH THIRTEEN MEMBERS, ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING MEEEE?!!" yet somehow I concluded that they were good dancers, had decent (yet silly) pop songs and most importantly they were pretty/cute and funny. But I still didn't like them, and I certainly didn't understand why my sisters where CRAAAAZY about them...

YES. It's an idol movie but it has plot, it's funny, it's pretty. AND IT HAS SUPER JUNIOR!!! Kibum, Donghae, Siwon, Heechul, Kangin, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Shindong, Ryeowook, Hankyung, Yesung, Leeteuk... I LOVE YOU BOYS!

Half a year ago my cellphone died tragically (it was a lame but lovable Nokia 6101) and inmediately I started to dream with a Nokia N95 -- but it's waaaay too expensive *sigh* and so I got myself a used Cingular 8125.

It's BIG (then, it's a PDA not a mere cell phone) and it's an old model but it's touchscreen, it has WiFi, a lovely QUERTY keyboard and Windows Mobile.

WINDOWS MOBILE.

And that means APLICATIONS, MOTHERFUCKAAA!! I can get rid of all the general uglyness of WinMo, I can MAKE IT REAAAALY PRETTY, can install STUFF!! I CAN DO ANYTHING (OK, maybe that's too much but you know what I mean).

This is what I have installed, I hard reseted it yesterday and I only have my favorite apps right now:

I've been watching TV!

... well, sort of. I've only watched two series so far.

Supernatural - Yeah. YES. Castiel. YES. Dean. YEAS. Castiel and Dean. YESSSS. And Sam... well, I've never been a Sam fan but hohohoho I love the way everything is turning out.

EXCEPT: FUCKING RAPHAEL!! I actually had my hopes on the archangels!!!! :(
Smallville - OK. Most of the time I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA why I keep watching it but... I liked season 8. Well, I liked the "concept", the general idea of moving the fuck on, of Metropolis, all the Clark/Lois interaction and how they exploited the epicness of the comics. It felt different and most importantly, right -- even if it wasn't That Good (no, it wasn't).

This season premiere was good because it has all that, and I loved how it wasn't a conclusion to the end of the previous season (LIKE ALL THE OTHER MOTHERFUCKING SEASONS!!) this time the plot actually thickens! And Lois is the key!

... and that's all. I don't know what else to watch. I've been considering catching up with How I Met Your Mother and Fringe but I still don't know.

Recommendations, anyone?

Geeeeez... First day of school and it sucks. I don't think I'm going to survive this semester. I am going to be 12+ hours out of my house from monday to friday. And that leaves less than 12 hours to do homework, projects and (more importantly) SLEEP. And that leaves procrastination reduced to a minimum.

My reaction: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Well, college starts today and all that jazz. I didn't go to the cinema as much as I wanted. I didn't finish a single book. I didn't catch up with any series. Oh well...

I love to talk about music (who doesn't?) but yeah, I've noticed that whenever I write about music it's always Radiohead-related. Hmm. To change that I decided to give this meme a try, after all, the last music meme I did was incredibly fun!

1. Led Zeppelin - Since I've Been Loving You
My childhood. And my dad. I remember listening to this song (every Led Zep song, really) in the car with my family. I think this particuar song was my introduction to how sensual a song, and more specifically, a voice, can be.

2. Daft Punk - Around The World (Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger mix)
Two of my favorite songs of them, together. It's a brilliant remix. This song reminds of the post-Human After All period and all the negative comments about the album, particularly how many people were saying that Discovery was the best and nothing could ever beat it. And then (this is what the song represents to me:) the Alive 2007 tour happened and it was insane.

3. Sigur Ros - Svo hljótt
Describing Sigur Ros's sound is nearly impossible for me, but I've come to associate it with the ethereal sensation of dreaming. Usually the "dreams" are about woods, water, snow, home, life: something familiar and ordinary that feels extraordinary, magical. Like keeping a secret or discovering something. The music is incredibly graphic for me, and most of the time I feel like catching instants of time or seeing in slow motion. The vonlenska may have a part in that, it just fits.

This song is so melancholic. Sometimes I "see" an ocean, others a peaceful death.

4. The Seatbelts - Goodnight Julia
Yoko Kanno and The Seatbelts. What Yoko Kanno did with Cowboy Bebop's soundtrack is epic. That recreation of blues/jazz and early rock placed in the future? EPIC. Who would have thought that this song would make me think of a guy smoking in his spaceship!

5. Elis Regina - Águas de Março
Regina's voice has such sweetness, Antonio Carlos Jobim is pure genius, and the lyrics... the enumeration of objects, images, and even feelings, so simple and yet not. I've listened to this song thousands of times.

6. The Mars Volta - Eriatarka
Acid, pure acid.

7. Thom Yorke - The Eraser
I won't lie, Thom's solo album sounds like Radiohead, but not that much. You can tell the difference. When it's a Radiohead song, Thom's voice "melts" with rest of the instruments, you don't feel it's "individuality". That is one of the many reasons I adore Thom: because he's so good that somehow he has learned how to use his voice and explote it, and transform it from whiny to beautiful and so volatile that it just "blends" with the songs -- man, I'm really bad at this but, you know, it's Radiohead, not Thom Yorke and four other guys.

That's the big difference with his solo album, because you do feel the invididuality that is Thom's voice, the focus is his voice, and let me tell you that it shines, but in a different way.

8. Radiohead - Go Slowly
Talking about Thom's voice... WOW. This is the kind of song that nobody dares to sing along when played live, just like How To Dissappear Completely. Both songs bring tremendous chills down everyone's spine, are hauntingly beautiful and can stir up such intense emotions.

Go Slowly reminds me of music box music. The melody is incredible, and Thom's voice is beautiful and captivating as always.... I can't describe the beauty of this song, it should have been on the main album, but then In Rainbows is perfect the way it is.

9. 3582 - The E (Instrumental)
I like "instrumental" hip-hop. It's sort of the only type (?) of hip-hop I can listen, I have no idea why. Well, maybe I have. I like how "simple" and "clean" the sound is, this kind of music makes me think or ordinary things in a different way. I suck at explaining these things.

10. Portishead - Sour Sour Times
Sour Times is really good, but Sour Sour Times is brilliant. I love the beats, I love Beth's voice... there's something about Portishead's music that is incredibly intimate. "To pretend no one can find the fallacies of morning rose. Forbidden fruit, hidden eyes, curtises that I despise in me... Take a ride, take a shot now."

11. Michael Buble - Sway
Excellent salsa version of a cha cha cha song. Excellent. I like Bublé. I'm not a fan of cha cha cha, mambo, salsa, etc. etc. but there are many great songs and this is one. The first version I heard was Celia Cruz's cover. On a curious note, the lyrics of the original and the english version are completely different.

12. Utada Hikaru - Beautiful World
Utada's music would be nothing out of the ordinary if it weren't for her beautiful voice. Sure, there's something interesting in the combination of light melodies and strong grooves but her voice is what makes it all come together. Her voice is just magical, there's a certain quality about it that surpasses many other singers, the woman can sing! You can really feel the energy of the songs even without knowing exactly what she is saying.

13. Queens of the Stone Age - You Thin Ain't Worth A Dollar, But I Feel Like A Millionaire
Queens of the Stone Age makes me think of men. Alcohol. Sex. Men. And I'm not talking about "machos" but MEN. QOTSA sounds heavy and sweet.

14. La Revolución De Emiliano Zapata - Ciudad Perdida
My dad and his music legacy again. This is a mexican rock band of the 70's and and amazing one. The album Revolución de Emiliano Zapata is pure accid. This probably one of the favorites of my father and my little brother, mine is Nasty Sex. It sounds Nasty. And it is Sex. But, ehem, this song goes crazy around 2:55.

15. Tori Amos - Me And A Gun
This song is beautiful in a haunting way. I don't listen to it much, it's about her rape and it feels so personal, so raw and bare. I just get chills when I listen to it, especially "It was me and a gun and a man on my back. But I haven't seen Barbados so I must get out of this." The dullness and the lifelessness of the song really reflects silence and shame.

16. Nujabes - A Day by Atmosphere Supreme
This song (and Nujabes in general) makes me think of summer, flowers, trees, the sea. But also about people, cities, the night -- so many things. It's amazing how a single song can do that.

17. Björk - Hidden Place
I've loved this woman since I was 15. She was a revelation. Take this song for example, the minimal soundscapes (shuffling cards!), quiet beats, introverted lyrics and the whispery singing. This woman completely changed my concept of what is music.

18. Radiohead - You And Whose Army?
Yorke inhaling. Guitars. Thom's voice pushed up front. The entire band gradually joining. And it all ends with Thom and a piano. And the lyrics -- "Come on, come on... you think you drive me crazy?" If the music was more triumphant, the meaning would be completely different, but here, with Thom singing, you can hear the irony, and he sounds defeated. You don't know if he is the bully or the bullied. Yeah, brilliant.

19. Louis Armstrong - What a Wonderful World
This song is just magic, it's full of love that asks nothing in return and it takes away anger and hate. Armstrong has such a powerful voice, I love the way he accentuates feelings and emotions, just like talking to a friend. My favorite part is when he says "I see babies cry, I watch them grow, they'll learn much more than I'll ever know, and I think to myself what a wonderful world." What a Wonderful World is Louis Armstrong. It makes me feel happy.

20. Johan Sebastian Bach - Badinerie
I grew up with Bach. My music school was named after him, I used the Anna Magdalena notebook, and it didn't take long before I wanted to listen every single one of his pieces. This badinerie is from his Orchestral Suite No. 2 and I FUCKING LOVE IT! The flute is... I have no words to describe it. I remember that I used to imagine a small, colorful and playful bird flying from branch to branch and singing.

21. Chicane feat. Bryan Adams - Don't Give Up
Trance. This song is pure quality, and it just goes up and down. Up and down. Up and down. It's like an emotional rollercoaster.

22. Michael Nyman - The Heart Asks Pleasure First
Piano piano piano piano piano. Beautiful. I was madly in love with this song back in junior highschool, so in love that sort of I figured out the right hand (not really, it was a simplified version of it) and played it all the time.

23. Art Tatum - Tiger Rag
Genius. Virtuoso. ONE OF THE GREATEST PIANISTS OF ALL TIME. I mean, THIS MAN PLAYED DUETS BY HIMSELF WHEN HE WAS YOUNG NOT KNOWING THEY WERE MEANT FOR TWO PEOPLE. I CAN'T EVEN IMAGINE ONE PERSON PLAYING A DUET! GOD, his fingers just fly across the keys! All that effortless technique, harmony, flawless rhythm, and in the end it's all so profoundly musical. He's UNBELIEVABLE. 10 seconds of any of his recordings scares and amazes anyone. A LEGEND. One the realest legends of jazz.

24. Sunlounger - White Sand
This one here? One of the songs that made me go crazy about Armin van Buuren (it's a remix of Sunlounger's song). White Sand, along with Zocalo and Sail, was what got me interested in Trance. I didn't know what Trance was before this, but I couldn't resist that brilliant structure that builds UP and DOWN. And that combination of beats and syntetizer is delicious.

25. George Michael - Fast Love
I don't know why I like George Michael. I really don't know. So I'll say this, I think he is very meticulous with his music, I can tell with the very few songs I've listened (5 or 6 max). There's something about the bass and I have to say I like his voice, and... about this song, it reminds me of Men in Black, and BEFORE YOU SAY I'M CRAZY: I have a reason, both the MIB theme and this song are based in Patrice Rushen's Forget Me Nots (I LOVE THAT SONG HOHO), of course Michael's song is very different but the percussion remains and there are a few moments when you hear "give me forget me nots, to help you to remember" HOHO BRILLIANT!

HBP: HP por siempre

No iba a escribir esto pero ayer fui a verla por tercera vez y ya se imaginarán. LAS PALABRAS NO PUEDEN EXPRESAR LO BUENA QUE ES ESTA PELÍCULA. Pero aún así voy a intentarlo.

Esperen spanglisheo, porque leí los primeros 4 libros en español y los últimos 3 en inglés y apenas recuerdo el nombre de los marauders en español, e incoherencias aleatorias, porque en menos de 6 años me convertí de alguien que disfrutó los libros a una superfanatica obsesionada, hiper-analítica, insoportablemente crítica y exagerada que sólo respira HP y acecha el fandom compulsivamente.

HALF-BLOOD PRINCE:
LA PELÍCULA QUE VOY A VER POR EL RESTO DE MI VIDA

Si tuviera que decir que hizo de la película APLASTANTEMENTE BUENA en 5 palabras, serían estas:

MALFOY SNAPE RIDDLE HARRY MAGICMAGICMAGIC

HANDS FUCKING DOWN! Pero hay TANTAS TANTAS TANTAS COSAS que estoy empezando a creer que me va a tomar hojas y hojas. Así que, um.

Sólo para que sepan, supe que iba a amar esta película desde la secuencia de apertura. La primera toma de Harry y Dumbledore fotografiados por los magos paparazzi, Bellatrix en el fondo gritando "I killed Sirius Black!", Dumbledore abrazando a Harry, silencio -- fue brillante. No sólo fue perfecto como apertura sino también fue un buen enlace con OotP, un recordatorio del momento más descorazonador del libro/película y un escalofriante e imponente manifiesto: Harry James Potter ya no es un niño.

SLKFJSLIGHLKAJDLFISJAISJFAAAGENIAAAL. Fue suficiente para darme cuenta que iba a ser un viaje increíble.

Pero hablemos de la película: HBP es mi película favorita hasta ahora, es simplemente más rica que cualquiera de las otras. Claro que esto no habría pasado si Cuarón no hubiera cambiado radicalmente el estilo visual de Harry Potter: poniendo a los personajes en ropas normales (no podía dejar de mirar los hombros de Ron, el traje de Draco), dándole mucho contraste y llenándolo de energía que se siente más vital que mágica. Afortunadamente, su visión siguió en las películas siguientes, pero lo realmente genial de PoA es que es cinemática. La cuarta llegó a aburrirme por ratos y la quinta me gustó porque sentí que las decisiones que se tomaron fueron las correctas, además, se sintió como una PELÍCULA y no como una adaptación-de-un-libro, fue una de las mejores películas para un libro que es de los peores de la serie. HBP tiene todo lo que me gustó de OotP y mucho, mucho más.

Yates brilla en esta película. Su decisión de hacer de HBP la película más íntima hasta ahora es mínimo intrigante porque ni siquiera el libro lo es pero si había un libro con el que queda perfecto es en este. Con la intimacía y el paso rápido de las cosas, logró capturar el peligro y la sensación de que todo está terminando en el mundo mágico y comenzando para estos niños que se están convirtiéndo - o más bien, siendo forzados a convertirse - en adultos.

Pero todo en esta película es bello: desde el humo negro de los Death Eaters "dissaparating" (demandenme, pero no estoy segura de que se diga "desapareciendo" en español), la primera "aparición" de Harry con Dumbledore, la estética de las memorias, el pequeño!Tom Riddle convirtiendose en Voldemort al final de la primera memoria (SKFJSLIAGENIAAAL), el uso de los periódicos para continuidad y el paso del tiempo, el Room of Hidden Things, la bodega de Arthur, la tienda de los gemelos, el regreso de la obsesión de Draco con las manzanas, el Unbreakable Vow, todos los detalles, como el collar en forma de corazón de Ron; como parece visualmente monótono a veces, el uso de la luz y los colores -- y como la película es silenciosa todo el tiempo, como van de ventana a ventana mostrándonos a Ron y Lavender besándose y a Draco en un balcón, como todo es tan cuidadoso: Harry acercándose a Hermione mientras llora, Dumbledore poniendo la memoria de Slughorn en el pensieve, Snape moviendo su dedo hacia su boca para que Harry no haga ruido (HOLYSHIT), Harry llevando el libro del HBP todo el tiempo, las aves, Harry poniendo su mano en el pecho de Dumbledore, cómo es más importante mostrar lo que Dumbledore significa para Harry y visceversa que mostrar la batalla, y... y... debo callarme ahora.

Si tuviera que escoger lo que más me gustó, diría que fue Draco. Draco, Draco, Draco, Draco, Draco, Draco. Estoy muy orgullosa de Tom Felton, no puedo evitarlo, gente, ¡Que lejos está de los días del superhipermegafamoso "Scared, Potter?"! Creía que era imposible, pero me hizo enamorarme más de Draco Malfoy.

He escuchado "Draco Malfoy es un cobarde patético" miles de veces y siento que debo de explicar un poco sobre por qué es La Gran Cosa. Draco Malfoy es un cobarde. Los primeros 5 libros no es más que un niño podridamente rico, consentido, mandón y egoísta que consigue todo lo que quiere y no tiene que hacer nada que no quiera. Nunca llega a ser más que eso y muchos nos retorcíamos de dolor con la bi-dimensionalidad de ese hecho. Hasta este libro. Al final de OotP su mundo se destruye y, aunque sigue siendo la misma persona, se ve obligado a hacer algo que muy pocos niños de su edad se atreverían a hacer para salvar a su familia. Y sí, niños, todos los que dicen que es patético que no pueda matar a Dumbledore o lo que sea han visto mucho anime y han empezado a creer que cualquier adolescente de 16 años puede matar gente como si fuera lo mismo que jugar football.

Si el libro me hizo inmensamente feliz con lo de Draco, la película todavía más, porque aquí vemos todo el proceso en su intento de matar a Dumbledore, y en particular me gustó que nos hayan mostrado cómo compone el Banishing Cabinet porque fue una muestra de su personalidad, verlo esforzarse e invertir trabajo y tiempo en eso, sabiendo lo que es y significa -- y también porque sabemos tan poco de los talentos de Draco.

Todo lo de Draco estuvo excelente, maravilloso, magnífico. Desde los detalles como el hecho de que cargara con el bastón de Lucius, lo aterrorizado que está cuando ve a Katie Bell, la pelea en el baño abandonado, todas las veces que aparece en los rincones, lo muerto de miedo que esta después de que Snape AK a Dumbledore y está corriendo por el Great Hall -- el contraste entre su expresión y la de Bellatrix fue genial. Lo que dice Snape cuando se van de la fiesta del Slug Club es cierto, sus intentos de ocultar su miedo no engañan a nadie, Tom Felton hizo un excelente trabajo mostrándonos su vulnerabilidad.

Y no puedo evitar pensar en el ENORME contraste que hay entre las situaciones de Harry y Draco -- sin duda Yates es el causante -- Draco no es más que una herramienta para Voldemort mientras que Dumbledore era abierto y sincero con Harry sobre la manera en la que quería usarlo y al mismo tiempo se preocupaba y mostraba su cariño. Harry era valioso como persona, pero también el arma más poderosa de Dumbledore. Draco no era ninguno de los dos, para Voldemort no importaba ni como persona, ni siquiera como arma.

No hubo suficiente Snape, pero Rickman estuvo perfecto en las pocas escenas que estuvo. Estoy un poco resentida de que no hubieran ni 10 segundos de DADA cuando finalmente Snape es el maestro, peeero una parte que me hizo inmensamente feliz fue cuando Dumbledore lo anuncia y Slughorn aplaude felizmente, YESYES después de todo, Snape es uno de sus favoritos. ;) Me gustó que todo lo referente a su lealdad quedara ambiguo -- y no como en el libro, donde nos quedamos estancados con el POV de Harry. Y no hay que olvidar la escena en Spiner's End.

AMÉ a Slughorn. La verdad no lo creí posible después de Umbridge porque esa actuación llegó a proporciones épicas, estuvo simplemente magnífica. Pero me encantó en practicamente todas las escenas, desde su "You must think I'm prejudiced" a cuando se dió por vencido en la casa de Hagrid. Y creo que logró llegar a la línea entre moralmente reprensible, egotista y triste.

Pensieve!Tom. HOLYSHIT. Las dos versiones estuvieron WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW. Algo que me gustó (de ambos Tom) es como pronuncian la "s" -- como si estuvieran al borde de hablar Parseltonge. Niño!Tom es más como me imagino a Tom que la versión adolescente pero no me quejo, adolescente!Tom era lo suficiente creepy para mí :D OHMAAAAN, cuando Slughorn le pregunta a Tom cómo supo que la piña era su favorita y Tom dice, "Intuition" FUCKFUCKFUUUCK!

Daniel Radcliffe estuvo MUUUUY BIEN. Nunca lo he considerado Harry, pero ya lo estoy aceptando. No se por qué. Digo, se que exagero cuando grito y hablo sin parar de lo estúpido y fastidioso que es en OotP (en la película no lo fue tanto) pero en esta película estuvo perfecto y supongo que no me debe de sorprender tanto porque HBP fue lo que me hizo dejar de ver a Harry como El Protagonista Suertudo Que Todos Creen Perfecto Pero Realmente No Es Nada Especial y comenzar a considerarlo como Harry. Radcliffe hizo un buen trabajo, tengo que reconocerlo, no es un super actor pero lo hizo bien. Cuando le sonríe a Hermione después de que descubre que no le dio Felix a Ron. Cuando esta con ella después de que Ron se va con Lavender. Cuando le dice a Slughorn, "Sir~~", tratando de que vaya con él a la cabaña de Hagrid. Su expresión cuando escucha a Slugorn contar la historia del regalo de su mamá. Cuando le dice "The bowl will remain empty for ever". Cuando duda tomar el brazo de Dumbledore.

Y Felix!Harry estuvo PERFECTO! Todo lo de Felix Felicis estuvo PERFECTO. Hagrid. Slughorn. "Excelent. Really Excellent.", "I feel like it's the right place to be tonight, you know what I mean?", "Trust me, I know what I'm doing... or at least Felix does", "Hm", "Also the pincers."

Y - esta es una de mis partes favoritas de la película - cuando Harry toca el anillo de Dumbledore y todas las memorias aparecen, y después Harry dobla su cuello como Voldemort, a la poseído!Harry en OotP y la expresión de Dumbledore toda WTF! HARRY, YOU ARE A HORCRUX! sdlkfjslfdkjsdlgfksjglakjfs;:S;111lkjfslkaaghfuckyesss.

HARRY TE AMO. TE AMO.

Y Ron, cuando bloquea todos los tiros en las pruebas y después en el partido. Cuando habla con Harry de Hermione. Cuando esta con Lavender y ve a Hermione con Harry. Cuando esta bajo el poder de la poción de amor fue genial. Ron en general fue genial, y me puso tan feliz porque amo a HBP!Ron TANTO (pero siempre he amado a Ron, de que estoy hablando) RON RON RON RON RON RON ROOOON.

Y Hermione (BTW, por mas bella que sea, Emma Watson siempre me ha parecido la peor de los tres actores principales), las miradas que le da a Ron, cuando se preocupa por harry y grita miserablemente "why didn't I think of that!", cuando esta escondiéndose de Cormac.

Cosas que me hicieron SQUEEEEEEEEE:

Lavender Brown. LAVENDER BROWN. ERES LA MEJOR. Me encantó lo emocionada que estaba todo el tiempo, amé cuando dibujó su corazón en la ventana y murmuró "I miss you". GENIAL. GENIAL GENIAL GENIAL.
Todo sobre la primera clase de Slughorn. Desde Harry y Ron peleandose por el libro nuevo, a Hermione hablando de las pociones, a todas las chavas hipnotizadas con la poción de amor, TODO, TODO, TOOODO.
Blaise. Sólo por existir.
¡Luna! Su vestido de árbol de navidad estuvo PERFECTO, igual que sus comentarios, y también me gustó que pusieran el "It's almost like having friends" porque hizo que perdonara la omisión de la parte de Harry con Neville y ella en el tren. Su cabeza de leon estuvo rídiculamente genial.

Una palabra: PATRONESDETEJIDO. OH SI, Dumblewald POR SIEMPREEE!

Las omisiones estuvieron bien. Hubieron cosas que hubiera deseado que estuvieran: "There's no need to call me sir, professor", Roonil Wazlib, "Should I dye my eveybrow yellow too?", elfos domésticos, "I'm Dumbledore's man"/"I told him I was" y todo el subplot del ministerio, Bill y Fleur, Dumbledore hablando con Harry sobre Sirius (¡porque todo lo que tenga que ver con Sirius es importante!), la historia de Remus y Fenrir, "my furry little problem", los Gaunt (¿Cómo chingados va saber Harry que Nagini y la copa son Horcruxes? Ni siquiera hablaron de las cosas que Tom pudo haber usado. Quiero suponer que va a pasar en la siguiente película de alguna forma u otra). Entiendo que no pudieran incluirse, pero aún así los extrañé.

Por otro lado, hubieron cosas que me hicieron INMENSAMENTE FELIZ por no aparecer ni un segundo: Tonks en modo emo todo el año, Ginny siendo una bitch extraordinaria + Marry Sue insoportable, el beso original de Harry y Ginny. Todo lo que puedo decir es: Gracias.

Y claro que hubieron muchos cambios. Por ejemplo, el papel de Bellatrix fue muy importante en la película y en el libro apenas aparece, y sin embargo, cuando es actuado tan INCREÍBLEMENTE como lo hace Bonham Carter, FUCKYES! Otro ejemplo, la destrucción del Burrow. Creo que muchos nos preguntabamos que iba a pasar para navidad y sinceramente creo que fue un buen cambio, digo, Percy no podía ir sin Scrimegour, y fue una pequeña muestra de lo mucho que va a sufrir la familia Weasley. Ver la expresión de Molly mientras su hogar está ardiendo en llamas... no pude evitar pensar en todas las flechas del reloj apuntando a "mortal peril".

Obviamente hubieron cosas que no me gustaron:

La escena despues de la apertura. Realmente creo que el hecho de que Dumbledore fuera en persona a buscar a Harry a casa de los Dursleys era muy importante porque mostraba lo mucho que iba a cambiar la relación entre Dumbledore y Harry a comparación de OotP y, todavía más importante, que Dumbledore estaba haciendo planes para el próximo año como si él ya no fuera a estar presente. No odié que Harry estuviera en la estación del tren ni nada, pero no me gustó la omisión.
No sentí el Harry/Ginny. No que no. Estuvo mejor que en el libro pero no, estuvo forzado. Sentí el Ron/Hermione (SLFKJSLIGJLGIJSLAAG PERFECTOPERFECTOPERFECTOOO) y hasta el Harry/Hermione -- saben, no culpo a Ron por estar todo paranoico en el siguiente libro, especialmente cuando ya viste esta película, es muy... bueno, ya saben.
En la escena de la torre con Dumbledore, cuando Draco dice, "va a matarme" -- tiene menos poder que el original "mi familia", y cae dentro del estereotípo egoísta Slytherin, en vez de la lealdad familiar que Narcissa estaba tratando de mostrar el principio y que siempre me ha encantado de las familias pureblood. Pero bueno, sólo es una pequeña queja.
La última escena. Juro que fue algo así:

HARRY: Malfoy no lo iba a matar. SNAPE IS EVIIIIL!!!!1 Y la muerte de Dumbledore no sirvio para nada, mira.

*pasa el medallón*

HERMIONE: ¿R.A.B.? Como sea, puedes besar a Ginny todo lo que quieras, a Ron no le molesta.

*Ron ve a la distancia soñadoramente*

HARRY: No voy a volver a Hogwats el proximo año. Me mantendré en contacto, ¿OK?
HERMIONE: Nos necesitas, loser.
HARRY: Hogwarts es hermoso.
HERMIONE: ¡OH, Fawkes!

Conclusión: MUY BUENA. Es el mismo universo maravilloso de JKR. Tal vez mejor. Siendo sincera, su prosa nunca logró alcanzar su imaginación y en las películas podemos ver la historia en un medio que sí lo hace. Al fin.

I don't know why I didn't write about this before but, guys, bookshop hosted a H/D Revival party the entire weekend! INSANE! I FREAKING LOVED IT!

WHAT'S THAT? YOU THINK IT NEVER EVER GOT BETTER THAN ANGST FIC? YOU AIN'T NEVER HAD A FRIEND LIKE ME, BITCH. IT MAY BE A SEASON IN HELL BUT THE WEATHER OF THE HEART MAKES IT A BEAUTIFUL WORLD EVEN IN THE DARK SIDE OF LIGHT, UNDERSTAND?

And you know what's the best part of it? I HAVE READ EVERY SINGLE FIC MENTIONED THERE! I FUCKING KNEW WHAT THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT! I "joined" fandom until 2003 BUT MAN, I REMEMBER HOW I'D READ FOR HOURS AND HOURS AND DAYS AND STAY AWAKE ALL NIGHT READING H/D! I WAS A VERY DEDICATED FAN!

xxxHolic: I LOOOOOVE IT. So very much like CLAMP (and you know what I mean with that: AWESOMEEEE!). I'll always have issues with Tsubasa but xxxHolic is pure love. Watanuki is so much fun, Doumeki too, and Yuuko, of course — I absolutely adooooore all the CCS, MKR, KOBATO and GD "links" lksdjflsiejglakj CLAMP I LOVE YOUUUU
Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle: I decided to re-read it after xxxHolic but I didn't get past a couple of arcs. Bleh. I definitely don't like it but I'll read it (eventually) because I want to know what the fuck is going on with CCS.
After School Nightmare: Now THAT is one interesting story! At first it seems more Boys' Love or Josei than Shoujo, but then, all the ANGST, VIOLENCE, THE MINDFUCK, SO SEINEN! I LOVE this kind of stories that ignore all the labels, take the best of all the genres and ROCK SO MUCH! I'm glad that I finally finished reading it.
Bakuman: This just keeps getting better and better! I got a little bored of if half a year ago and WOW! Obata always has unique stories (Hikago is about a board game, Death note is about err-- notebooks that kill and insane people with amazing deductive skills) and this one is about two kids who want to be mangakas! What I like the most about it right now is the whole rivalry/friendship awesomeness!!! It's not as it'saboardgameforfuckssake!good as Hikago but it's good. And you learn a lot about Jump, manga, mankagas, the industry and all that jazz.
Dogs: Bullets & Carnage: I have problems with it - I've had them for a while, that's why I stopped reading it in the first place. The thing is: I like the story, well... yes, I like it, the general idea, the concept, the structure, you know? But I hate the way it's told. HATE IT. It feels like there's nothing but fights and "cool attitude s". Bleh. I think this is going to my "dropped" list.

And I think that's all? I LOVE SUMMER!

I'm sick. These last five days my activities have consisted of the following in all possible permutations: agonize with fever, agonize with pain, sleep for hours and hours and hours and defecate. Everything would have been alright if I'd been able to do what I like to do best (eat) but I could't because IT HURTED! IT WAS TORTURE! I LOVE FOOD! FOOOOD!

I'm alright now, though. Mostly. A little bored, I don't want to read Tsubasa and I know I should... I think... So You Think You Can Dance videos!
